In this episode, Roger and Jim have a quick round-up of all the Hackathon action. As predicted by Jim the Hackathon challenge was all about privacy and security. The full text of the challenge was ‘Create an application on the EOSIO platform that improves the relationship between technology and a user’s privacy or security.’
So again we see the drive to mass adoption continue with the concentration on the user experience.
- In first place and receiving $100,000 and a spot in the final in San Francisco later this year was ‘EOS Shield’ with their dApp tool around account security and reputation.
- In second place and receiving $25,000 was ‘Chestnut’ with a dApp on around the idea of predefined rules for actions.
- In third place and receiving $10,000 was ‘On The Block’ with a dApp around credit checking on the Blockchain
Check out the last minute for a mention of the meeting Jim had with Nottingham Trent University.
